Our Work
At Cosmic Minds Fund, Inc., we believe every child deserves access to a nurturing, inspiring environment where they can grow, learn, and thrive. Our work is dedicated to expanding equitable access to bilingual Montessori education, developing outdoor learning ecosystems, and providing meaningful resources for educators and families across East Dallas. From gardens and playgrounds to scholarships, teacher training, and community-centered initiatives, every project we lead is rooted in equity, sustainability, and deep care for the whole child.
Luz Natural Playground

Thanks to a transformative partnership with KaBOOM!, Sibli, and Vanguard—who collectively committed up to $500,000 in funding and support—we brought the Luz Natural Playground to life: a thoughtfully designed, nature-based environment that inspires movement, creativity, and joyful exploration.

This one-of-a-kind space features natural climbing structures, sensory-rich play areas, loose parts exploration zones, water elements, and intentional gathering spaces, all grounded in Montessori principles and guided by child-led discovery.
While the project is now complete, we are actively raising funds to support ongoing maintenance, enhancements, and long-term sustainability. Community contributions directly strengthen key elements of the space and ensure it continues to serve children for years to come. With a total project value approaching $500,000, this initiative reflects the collective effort of dedicated volunteers, families, and local partners who helped bring it to life.
The Luz Playground is more than a place to play—it is a space intentionally designed to cultivate resilience, connection, and joy through meaningful interaction with the natural world.

We are also expanding this work beyond our campus by supporting other schools in developing their own nature-based, Montessori-aligned outdoor learning environments, extending the impact of this model across the community.

Jardin de Estrellas
(Garden of Stars)
With the help of GROW North Texas, we are transforming a once-empty outdoor space into the "Jardín de Estrellas"—a fruit tree orchard where students take part in every step: from planting and watering to harvesting and enjoying the fruits of their labor.
The total cost of this project is $20,000, not including the generous time and effort contributed by our dedicated teachers and community volunteers.
This space will grow more than just trees—it will nurture curiosity, responsibility, and a love of nature for years to come

Classroom Support Initiative
Strong classrooms create strong outcomes. This initiative ensures that every learning environment is fully equipped with high-quality Montessori materials, supplies, and daily resources that directly support children’s development.
Each classroom requires a carefully prepared environment, including authentic Montessori materials across all domains—practical life, sensorial, language, mathematics, and cultural studies—along with child-sized furniture, shelving, rugs, trays, and organization systems that promote independence and order. Ongoing needs also include books, art supplies, manipulatives, and essential items that sustain daily classroom routines and care of the environment.

We partner directly with teachers from the schools we support, who submit real-time classroom wishlists based on their students’ needs. Supporters can purchase items directly from these lists, with giving options typically ranging from $5 to $100, ensuring that resources go straight into classrooms where they are needed most.
Impact: Fully equips and sustains a high-quality Montessori classroom, directly supporting student learning and teacher effectiveness.
Giving Level: $15,000 fully funds an entire classroom; $5–$100 supports individual items through teacher wishlists.
